Make fun of the TSA, ridicule, parody them. Embarrass them. Let them know you disapprove and that they are involved in something that is fundamentally wrong. But don’t be mean to them. Don’t be mean-spirited.

In an MSNBC article, the TSA union president confirms something Jim and I have been saying all along: the TSA neglected its responsibility to tell the public what it was doing. Now individual TSA agents are paying the price.

“This absence of information has resulted in a backlash against the character and professionalism of TSOs,” said Gage in a statement. “TSA must act now — before the Thanksgiving rush — to ensure that TSOs are not being left to fend for themselves.”

However, it is right and completely appropriate – overdue, in fact – for people to complain and inconvenience the TSA agents themselves. Sure, they have to feed their families. But not on our backs. Not by taking our basic human dignity. Not by foisting this dangerous security theater on us.

“Our concern is that the public not confuse the people implementing the policies with the people who developed the policies,” said Sharon Pinnock, the union’s director of membership and organization.

The public is not confused. The “I’m just doing my job” defense didn’t fly at Nuremburg and it doesn’t fly here. Individual TSA employees are personally responsible for their actions. They should be held accountable. The only way to do that is peacefully and with laughter.

The TSA is feeling the heat (some choice quotes from TSA employees here). They may be more at risk from the scanner radiation than we are. While we’re embarrassing them into stopping this nonsense, remember that their interests are partially aligned with ours. They are our fellow human beings. Make fun of them, make them uncomfortable. But do it with a smile on your face and good intentions in your heart.

13 Responses to On Opt Out Day, Be NICE to the TSA Employees

  1. Geek Hillbilly says:

I opted out and told the airlines why. I also have several tinfoil 1 finger salutes to wear thru the scanner

    • Mouse says:

I hope your salutes show up nicely… and that the TSO who gets to have a look at them has a good laugh.

To everyone… be kind but firm and frank with any TSA agent you encounter. Don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself, but also remain as calm as you possibly can. Be the better human being.

  2. tz says:

They are doing something shameful and should be ashamed. Their interests are no more aligned with mine than the IRS agent trying to maximize how much they are getting back by randomly requiring people to bring in cabinets of paperwork to justify everything. It is security theater, but they are the paid actors.

During the civil rights movement, there were police who had to enforce segregation – they should have been ashamed. There are probably places on strike – if they aren’t ashamed of this, they can become scab labor.

The porn scanners and sexual battery searches are just more security theater but now it is very personal. You are equally guilty of a crime if you are an accessory. You are equally guilty of a sin if you encourage it or even don’t admonish the sinner that he is committing a sin. Do any of these TSA agents that touch other peoples private parts or watch porn all day sleep well at night? Go to church?

They have been ordered as a condition of employment to do horrendous, unspeakable acts. The brave thing would be for THEM to refuse either post.

If I do something shameful, someone should say to me “Shame on me”. When celebrities do it they are called on it.

Yes, be kind, but do remind them that no decent person, no person with any conscience or sense of shame would do such things. And if they only care about the money or are so desperate for it, can I not easily bribe that person? Honorable people would neither take a bribe nor watch porn nor touch people like that.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment

If a person in a white coat says it is important to keep shocking someone even to the point where they are screaming in pain or even seem to be dead, most people do it. I don’t expect the TSOs to be different – until someone points it out to them.

Some authority figure is telling the TSO that all this is OK and necessary. And they are going through with it, but it is not an experiment, they are committing real crimes on real people.

More airline passengers have died of the crashes associated with mechanical failure or bad weather than terrorists. If terrorism is so rare, why do we have to do a sexual battery on a billion people? They say if you don’t like being groped then don’t fly, but that argument is equally applied the other way – if you don’t want to die in the airplane, and less likely from a terrorist than other causes – then don’t fly.

I would like to take the commuter flights again – those where you could just go to the airport and be in a city 300 miles away in about an hour, then get a return flight in the evening. Now it takes longer to get through everything than to drive and that was before the groping.

Let there be choice – the secure but body-cavity searching airports, and others that let me through even though with my home printed boarding pass and I have my computer toolkit with me. Leave the air marshals and the reinforced doors for both, but for the “insecure flights”, let people use the lavatory or move right after take-off through just before landing. And price the tickets accordingly – let those who want the extra security pay for it on their tickets.

I suspect the “secure” airports would be closed within a month or switch to insecure.

I have a wife and two kids. If I were a TSA agent, I would have started looking for a job elsewhere as soon as possible. And considering how TSA agents are “under-paid”, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem to find that job, even if it meant flipping burgers or ringing up people at the grocery store. I could not take part in this highly invasive process foisted upon the traveling public. The backlash is only just beginning. The media says it is coming to a head today, but they are wrong about that. Wait until foreigners stop coming here because they don’t like being groped on their way out of the country. Wait until more Americans stop flying due to the “hassle factor”, if nothing else. It’ll take time, but I am confident that we can all send a message that enough is enough.

  4. Miguel says:

I will politely disagree. Nobody is forcing them to stay in the job. They can quit in protest and say “I am sorry, but I cannot bring myself to fondle children and elderly people who are not security threats.”

I do have an unrelated question: What are the State Attorneys of every State in the union doing? How come they have not sued the Federal Government for sexually molesting their citizens of their states? Florida has a statute against using coercion TSA threats of fines and jail time) as a mean to commit sexual battery and the committing of the sexual battery itself. Why is it not enforced?

  5. Kitwench says:

I don’t have a problem with someone taking this job – have you looked at unemployment rates ?
And given the job requirements, they do make more than burger flippers.
However, my objection is the manner in which they DO their jobs.
    They are not polite
    They are not respectful.
If I had to take this job to feed my family, it wouldn’t bother me, because I know that were someone to choose to opt out there is NOTHING in the procedure about treating someone rudely.
It’s just as easy to say “I’m sorry, we’ll need to..” and “This requires me to do a full body pat-down” and in other ways use humor and good manners to make an awkward situation easier on the client.
But most of the people in these jobs are on a power trip.
And for that, I have no sympathy and no desire to be ‘polite’.

  6. romanmel says:

Working in airport security seems to attract perverts, rapists and pedophiles because it gives them legitimate cover through which to exercise their deviancy. They sell their souls for ten bucks an hour…

    • Nina Danko says:

      I agree 100%!

      • MeAgain says:

Maybe you all should check your facts. An average TSO makes about 15.95 per hour (in my area) plus night time and sunday differential. Double time holiday pay. …and overtime is so easily earned. So dont write them off as underpaid.

        • romanmel says:

It probably relates to pay per going wage at that local and how long on the job. The point is, it is a small pitance to sell your soul and foist humiliation on your fellow citizens. Shame on TSA agents…SHAME.

  7. michael says:

The TSA’s honest employees are opoerating under deception as to the illusion of safety they are providing if they are sincere. I am sure some are. The leadership of Homeland Security is not. They must be fully aware of the “false flag” nature of the 9/11 attacks that are feeding this “fear of terrosim”. There well could be attacks, but they won;t be Arabs-as there never were. Americans are being conditoned for a totally controlled police state, accepting unconstituional restrictions on all aspects of their lives “for your safety”. Please see Dr. Alan Sabrosky’s article and interview with Mark Glen, on Youtube. “Why the Military Knows Israel did 911″ He is a US Marin and former Directer of Services at the US Army War College : “911 was a Mossad operation –PERIOD” . No real American should accept a position with TSA. however the ilk at DHS will probably bring over Isarelis to do the dirty work.

Please see also. Dr Henry Makow, a recent article : Illiminati Determined in 1969 Travel will be limited. Its never going to happen, but if 75% quit flying, the perpetrators DO NOT CARE. This is in part to limit travel…wait till a bus is used as bomb somewhere: scanners and pats at the bus depot…what about a car bomb…now check points etc, etc. TSA’s actions –with the help of deceived fellow Americans–are helping to implement the NWO as revealed by Aaron Russo and others. There is no question we are in the most dangerous time since this countries founding. It is a mus that we learn to fast, pray and seek God as never before, and work to expose lies, and present the truth. …Even if all flyers shut the the airlines down, which I would support. TSA, DHS is just going to not budge. They need tougher measures fed to them. As Dr. Sabrosky said “they are pulling out all stops. If the truth on 911 comes out it will lead to Israel and high up treason. Humna life has no value to these people in lieu of thier goals. They are not much bothered by protesters, but a lot of people and key people aware of the truth who would come against those responsible will get their attention.

  8. romanmel says:

    michael,
You are so correct in your evaluation of the TSA situation. Bottom line is The Powers That Be want nothing short of our destruction and death. They would use the unemployed, uninformed of society and clothe them in blue uniforms, giving them authority to intimidate and humiliate their fellow citizens.

Certain types of TSA agents view this as an opportunity to sieze power they never had before and they relish it. It doesn’t stop at the airport, as you point out.

We will see these dangerous Xray machines everywhere and the ignorant amongst us will suffer an early death as a result from constant exposure. We truely are seeing the evil, always present on Earth, expand to permiate every aspect of our daily lives.

One needs to know in the midst of absolute evil, God IS in control. Evil’s control is short-lived, it’s season will pass quickly. But multitudes will die in it’s wake. Only God can save us.

  9. michael says:

Romanmel,Thank you for your perceptions and agreement. I am a born again, spirit filled believer, and I do hold that God is in control..of course he does use men. He allows men free will, some do good, others do not. Some seek truth, some are “of your father the devil… a liar,a murderer from the beginning..” I sent an email to Pat Robertson’s CBN, challenging their “news” ‘echos” of 9/11 ‘s official lie. They have great stories of salvation, but I find it surprising that they do no independent journalism on 9/11. In so doing they also echo the general blather on TSA. Pat is quite aware of some reasons behind what is going on. I suspect it is the ties and beliefs about Israel.

My perceptions on Israel changed after learning from Alfred Lilienthal, Zionist defecter, Benjamin Freedman and others…Why is the Christian church the last to discern truth? Visit Israeli dissident website: https://www.roytov.com He documents Israel’s false flag operations in other areas and their deceit and explains true Israel. I see what is develping as the system of the anti-Christ-a tightly controlled system that will be used against all mankind at some point. I believe it is biblical to expose and oppose it any and all ways possible. American’s and believers will have to at some point. I think sooner is better than later, but it the midst still I have great joy and peace in my heart, that such system and what it represents-everything anti-God- is soon to be in the trash heap of history where it belongs. Blessings to you.
