Imagine hard-hitting, anti-scanner, anti-groping 60 foot billboards at major airports. Imagine airline executives and TSA employees seeing public outrage everyday on their way to work. Imagine the media response to a highly visible, bold campaign to educate travelers about TSA abuse.

For as little as $4,000, we can place the first gigantic “We Won”t Fly” billboard near a major airport. In addition to reaching hundreds of thousands of travelers every week, the media reaction to our campaign could multiply the exposure many times.

Our movement has an amazing amount of creativity. The first billboard design will determined by a contest. We will accept submissions until the funds are raised for the first billboard. The best finalists will be reviewed and voted on by the We Won’t Fly community.

Financial Support

ThePoint is an innovative fundraising tool. Participants pledge a specific dollar amount to the campaign, but nothing happens until the target goal is reached. Once that goal is reached the pledges are processed. Please make your best pledge at The Point.

Submit a design

Email your designs to [email protected]. Put “billboard design” in the subject line. The final output size is 20′ by 60′. Art files should be PDF or JPG with a 1 x 3 aspect ratio. There are no specific rules for content, but the message should be focused. Appeal to emotions. Be creative. Be bold. (By submitting, you give We Won’t Fly a license to use the images in any capacity.)

Spread the word

Please share the contest details with your networks. The more participants we have, the wider our impact.

Here are a couple of other designs Jim came up with. Follow the project’s progress at WeWontFly.com/bb.

    I’m in!

I think this is a great idea because the billboard will get lots of press coverage in addition to the travelers it reaches.
