The Scanner Images CAN be Stored and Transmitted

by George Donnelly on November 24, 2010

Why does TSA chief bureaucrat John Pistole continue to lie? In a just-published AP article, he once again claims, “The images are not capable of being stored or transmitted.” This is obviously a lie. It is so obvious that it hurts my brain.

First of all, CNN has reported that, by design, the machines are capable of storing and transmitting the images. NaturalNews.com reported months ago that the TSA website said with respect to the scanners:

“This state-of-the-art technology cannot store, print, transmit or save the image. In fact, all machines are delivered to airports with these functions disabled.”

That text has since been deleted. Clearly it was self-contradictory. If the functions are disabled, the technology has such functions and is capable of storing and transmitting images.

Finally, there are scanner images available online. And aren’t the scanner images potential evidence? If the scanner actually detects something illicit, that is the evidence of probable cause for arresting and prosecuting someone. Is the TSA really going to risk losing the evidence they need to get past a probable cause hearing in federal court? I’m no lawyer, but it doesn’t pass the smell test.

TSA continues to lie. What else are they lying about?

How can the images be reviewed by a remote operator if they can’t be transmitted and the machine is not networked?

the machine is “networked” to the control station where they view the image, but there is no external connection. its not “transmitted”, its all part of the same closed system.

If the scanner images can’t be saved or transmitted, where did all the ones we are seeing in the media and online come from?

I’m guessing they are lying abouut just about everything – they clearly cannot be trusted. But the American publuic disgust me. This USED to be the Land of the Free, Home of the Brave. Now they are just a flock of dumb stupid sheep. Baa Baa.

training units have the capability to store images – they are not sent to airports in that configuration..the training units are where they get the images for the websites and for training purposes.

Poor “Annoyed”…

It’s your type who keep arguing that no one has to fly and that we can opt to not fly.

Well, you can opt to not read websites like this!

A software configuration value to turn certain features or or off does NOT mean that the machines don’t have the capability. Our society is pretty computer-literate so I don’t understand why the TSA thinks they can get away with deceiving the public on this issue.
