Blogger “Johnny Edge” peacefully stood up to the TSA rent-a-gropers but they detained him against his will and threatened him with a civil suit and $10,000 fine. The video skips ahead to the incident.

After setting my things on a table, he turned to me and began to explain that he was going to do a “standard” pat down. (I thought to myself, “great, not one of those gropings like I’ve been reading about”.) After he described, the pat down, I realized that he intended to touch my groin. After he finished his description but before he started the pat down, I looked him straight in the eye and said, “if you touch my junk, I’ll have you arrested.” He, a bit taken aback, informed me that he would have to involve his supervisor because of my comment.

Kudos to John for standing up and having the courage to record it as well. Show them your resistance!

Very well done, John. Evidently throwing on a sport jacket makes you an “official” now; his attempts to get your personal information (which the TSA already likely had) were sad. You sounded quite hostile, which is understandable in that situation.

  2. New TSA protocol says Junk touching not required. Neck-licking is.
Cavity searches may follow on behind.

  4. Becky says:

When you give a little power to village idiots and borderline retards this is what you get. Most of these ‘agents’ wouldn’t qualify as burger flippers at the local greasy spoon. You have to seriously wonder and be concerned just what kind of person would want to spend hours feeling up complete strangers. This is pure perversion.

Maybe they didn’t give up on finding Bin Laden and suspect he is hiding in some innocent hard working American’s undies. After all these years they still can’t locate him and we are to put our trust in these thugs and let them sexually molest us and our children?!

Stop flying! When the airports and airlines begin to bankrupt they will stop this insanity and send the TSA agents back to the group homes from whence they came. Stop Flying NOW. It won’t take long to bring these thugs down.

  7. 4th says:

    Dear Johnny,

Please, please sue these bastards. You suffered damages because of the lost cost of your ticket. This governmental bypassing of the 4th amendment cannot stand. TSAs treatment of US citizens should be challenged in the Supreme Court. Maybe you are the man to do it.

  8. Head Con says:

Isn’t it great where multi-culti brought us.
I go the perfect solution. Serve bacon on the boarding line and strip search whoever refuses.

  9. The final outcome is that he left the airport and was not allowed to keep his contract to fly with the airline.

  10. AnthonyI says:

There was a wave of huge wave of plane hijackings during the 70′s, it was much worse than today, and yet the government didn’t feel the need to dehumanize passengers. I understand the scary idea of being in the middle of some kind of 9/11 event, but really, you have a higher chance of being killed on the road. There are other solutions to airport security that don’t include the fondling of children. In the end it’s all about million dollar contracts to build these scanners, that’s all. Scare the public, sell some gadgets.

  11. Stephen says:

Any time a TSA agent touches you in an offensive manner you should be offensive in return. Give them gas … literally.

  12. Lumberjac says:

Would you people grow up. Safety is much more important than you self obsession or insecurity. Trust me, I’m no TSA Homer, in fact I’ve written a blog bashing them but not for trying to keep us safe. As for “touching your junk”, Johnny Edge, your junk is not more important than the 300 people on a plane. This website is ridiculous. There’s no security in insecurity.

  13. EvilEmuOfDoom says:

“when you bought a ticket, you gave up a lot of your rights” Oh really? How does buying a plane ticket take away my constitutional rights (like the 4th amendment)? I wish I had the financial resources for a drawn out court battle… video like this with blatantly wrong statements could go pretty far.

  14. None says:

I did something similar a year ago in Indianapolis. When I was selected for extra screening I asked, “Is this mandatory?” They replied, “No but it will require a pat down.” I took about a minute to think about my response. I asked if I could instead leave the terminal. They said that once you submit your baggage for screening you may not leave the screening area. They confirmed that if I had no baggage, there was no issue. After about 10 minutes, I finally went through the machine, but didn’t hold very still.

In all, I probably saved 5 people from having to go through the machine by asking so many questions.

  15. joe says:

What in God’s name has happened to America? It is time for a revolution and I see one coming where people are going to get hurt. It is time to take the power away from goverment and give it back to the citizens. The goverment is acting like some foreign goverments act. This is the United States of America not some European nation.

  16. Vickie Howard says:

I am a mother of 5 and a breast cancer survivor…..can TSA and Ms. Janet N. guarantee me that there is not one TSA employee that has ever watched child porn? What about all the 12 and 13 year old girls going through? Where are the child advocates? Can I be guaranteed that only a woman TSA observer will be watching as women go through? And what will hours and hours of looking at women’s bodices and young girls breasts do to all those men looking at the scanner? Help! Dr. Phil!!!!

  17. T says:

Does anyone here have any sort of an alternate solution to offer or are you just going to keep crying about your privacy? Wouldn’t it have been nice if that “porno-scanner” had been up and running on 9/11, and you don’t hear anyone complaining when the “rent-a-gropers” grope a bomb in a guys pocket, but maybe they should just get rid of security, or just ask everyone politely to remove any weapons or bombs they are carrying.

  18. wiseman says says:

What fools. All because you decide to listen to an outspoken, uninformed idiot, the TSA will be recording all your names. Go ahead, break Federal law. Haha. What a joke, wewontfly only has 7,000 members and has raised a sad, 200 bucks. Some movement. Simple Google reasearch will teach you that the terrorists are shoving balloons with explosives up their you know what. Why wouldn’t you want these scanners. TSA is laughing that most who opt out will miss their flights due to the massive delays. Will that fat guy from wewontfly give you your money back? Doubt it. What a joke!

  19. Ben Noyes says:

We have gone from citizens to suspects with out a whimper-
and have become a nation of thugs

“you gave up a lot of your rights when you bought your ticket”

WTF?!?!? Really? I’m pretty sure it didn’t say anywhere on expedia.com that I was required to be sexually assaulted despite every protestation in order to get on a plane from Seattle to California. What do they think they missed in the metal detector that they could possibly find with their hands on your crotch? I can’t believe this is even legal…REAL cops can’t even touch you without your concent or probable cause! Sue them, call the media, do whatever it takes to make this known to people! I know a lot of folks who are “sheeple” and don’t even realize they have the option to say “NO” to these people!

  23. Jimmy says:

The way I understand the TSA in the video, it’s like if wanting to catch a plane meant that there is reason enough to believe that you have a criminal intent.

  24. . berry says:

A 73 year old Caucasian female of English descent, travelled back to Europe from San Fransisco on Monday 15th November and was subjected to the grope session by a very unpleasant goon, because she had requested to go through the metal detector rather than the Xray body scan. She was made to wait for a female in uniform, who then proceeded to interrogate her as to why she refused the Xray body scan. She was then handed over to another female in uniform where she was forced to stand with her legs apart and arms up while this very unpleasant rude female in uniform fondled her body all over into the most intimate parts of the body while the other passengers who had not had the misfortune of being singled out for this humiliation.
She was extremely embarrassed and very much distressed.
This is profiling in the reverse! TSA seems to go out of their way to screen the most unlikely “would be trerrorist” in order not to be accused of profiling.
Is it not possible for the TSA to hire more intelligent, courteous and sympathetic personnel instead or is it endemic to those in authority behave like this also?
We should not be treated automatically as suspects to be abused by these uniformed people.
