How Many TSA Security Videos Will End up on the Internet?

by George Donnelly on November 12, 2010

I came across this question in response to the (incomplete) Meg McLain TSA security videos.

How can they release this video when you can see and identify so many other normal passengers? Is this what i should expect, that security cameras filming me will be released to the public and end up on the internet? Wow, that’s a blow for integrity…

While I enjoy government transparency, this is a very good question, especially when the TSA wants to take naked pictures of you and grope your privates. The TSA website is not loading for me but I sent this message to [email protected]:

Is your release of the Meg McLain security video consistent with your privacy policy? Because you showed lots and lots of other passengers there, passengers who had nothing to do with this.

If the privacy issues surrounding the TSA concern you, I suggest you email them your polite and reasoned questions as well. The government must be accountable to the people it claims to serve.

I found that interesting, as well. The woman in the purple who got a pat down no doubt found it a little humiliating. Wait until she sees herself on the internet.

Check out the above site where it is admitted that the Feds are storing the virtual nude searches. With the government’s total lack of ability to maintain security like on our Social Security numbers and identity information, it’s only a matter of time before we are exposed from these videos as well.
