Job Number One for Opt Out Day is Educating the Public

by George Donnelly on November 17, 2010

Although the TSA chief would like you think We Won’t Fly is acting irresponsibly, we are actually taking responsibility for the critical job of informing the traveling public about their new security theater. The TSA has neglected this serious responsibility. That is why see so much confusion and trauma. People don’t know what they are in for. And now, once you enter their security line, if you find out you don’t want either the scope or the grope, you face an $11,000 fine.

So job number one for National Opt Out Day is to educate the public. We’ll be handing out flyers and waving informational signs. We Won’t Fly wants Thanksgiving Day travelers to have the information they need to make an informed decision. Remember, these are not frequent flyers. Generally speaking, a lot of these travelers fly very infrequently. They need education. We Won’t Fly is stepping up to give it to them. Please organize an educational event at your local airport for National Opt Out Day now. Send me your meetup.com or Facebook event link so I can send other people your way. Email [email protected].
