I just spent a few hours with an airline employee who works at the ticketing counter for a major airline at a large international airport. He said that the airline employees bypass all security lines and have their own entrances with codes to enter. He also said that he does not even go through security when he flies on his own time, even at other airports. He mentioned that he can bring pretty much anything he wants into the terminal, and even on board a plane. So there you have it. Regular passengers are being pointlessly scoped and groped when there are gaping holes everywhere else. If you really want to sneak something on board a plane, just get a job with the airlines, apparently.

Can anyone confirm this?

This is not true, I use to work for an airline, we had to go though security just like everyone else, they were not at strict when it came to look at our stuff, as with normal passengers if we where in uniform, out side of uniform we still treated like an airline employee, but we could use the priority line which included people flying with us, but we did have to take our shoes off if it was are home airport. And if we got caught with something we had to throw it away or finish our drink like everyone else, but you do learn the back ways into an airport and on to the tarmac.

The only airline employees able to bypass security completely are the CEO’s and such…
the guys upstairs making the big bucks….and their families, of course.
They make the rules for the rest, but they themselves break those rules.

Employees have a separate entrance, yes..for working…but are required to go through
normal security like everyone else when ‘flying’.

Employees are NOW told they are subject to spontaneous searches….
Although this is extremely rare… it has happened.

Airlines, in general, don’t ‘stand up for’ their employees.
Airline employees are dispensable…easily replaced for less $$.

They have a separate entrance for working, and once working behind security, can pass anything they want to friends/cohorts who will be flying. Security breach.
