Writing for The Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg recounts how his little buddies “Resistance” met the TSA.

At BWI, I told the officer who directed me to the back-scatter that I preferred a pat-down. I did this in order to see how effective the manual search would be. When I made this request, a number of TSA officers, to my surprise, began laughing. I asked why. One of them — the one who would eventually conduct my pat-down — said that the rules were changing shortly, and that I would soon understand why the back-scatter was preferable to the manual search.

Greatness! After sharing this on FB a FB friend said he saw a search at an embassy, where a woman’s bra kept setting the metal detector off. The guard insisted on further searching so she stripped to her bra, embarrassing him and the Marine at that post. Just wonderful! Make it more embarrassing for them than it is for you! LMAO

  2. Haha excellent. Great idea.

I haven’t been to see my family on the East coast for years, and the cost / time driving a car 1000 miles or the uncomfortable bus ride also has discouraged me. Now I would have to endure the embarrassment of being treated like a potential criminal if I fly?? I served my country and took an oath to the US Constitution, to preserve liberty here, and we have to live like we are in the repressive regimes of foreign countries on account of a handful of camel jockies in Yemen? Ridiculous! 9/11 ushered in the uber police-state power structure and look who benefits?? I am thinking more and more that the ones who are making the most money and in the highest power positions were behind the 9/11 attacks and we should have a better investigation, starting with the “40 smoking guns” of 9/11 discussed in the book The New Pearl Harbor!!!

On a lighter note, my BF says if he flies and gets groped in his genitals he is going to say “BOOM” really loud to startle the TSA groper! I say that is a great idea! LOL

I wonder, if some brave souls go to the airport in bikini or speedos would they be exempt from both types of searches?

That is actually the most practical idea I have heard about this whole mess. In fact it is hard to see how they could subject those that do so to their choice of degradation.
